About Us
Alliance 4 Children are passionate about improving the lives of families, children and young people across the UK, especially when they are facing such significant concerns across multiple areas of their lives. To make a meaningful and long-term difference, we are calling for a Department for Children, Young People and Families or Cabinet Level Minister for Children in England, and other UK countries. Such a department in England (in common with all other government departments) would be supported by the civil service and government-appointed special advisors. Ideally, this department would also be scrutinised by a Select Committee and made up of a cross party of MPs.
